I found a tumblr translation of this song and have thoughts i want to share about my translation:
*i like the use of the word "difficult" for 힘듦 instead of "hard" - they're essentially the same thing but i feel like difficult has this looser interpretation of something that is a struggle but can be worked through, whereas hard seems so final and defeatist. in korean there's 어려움 for hard, too, and they're kind of similar to difficult/hard in their small differences..
**(tumblr translation: "i’m sorry, I didn’t want to comfort you by being realistic but / it’s too hard of a time now to be talking about our dreams") i didn't use past tense bc there was none, and i said realistic words because i just like to retain all of the words/concepts used in korean even if it sounds a bit weird. also, i'm really not sure if it's really "our dreams" because this song is like words from one person to another and at first to me it sounded like it was about the recipient's dreams and struggles. but, there are really no specifics there
***originally translated this as "as long as I have you, it's enough". both work, and both don't fully capture the feeling (as long as I have you, it's enough could be 난 너만 있으면 충분해요 / I'm fine as long as I have you could be 난 너만 있으면 괜찮아요), so I felt the need to include this note. 되다 is a fun verb like that.
